Frequently Asked Questions

Are Dogs Welcome?

Yes, we welcome well-behaved dogs on a lead during the afternoons (Dont forget the dog show on Saturday afternoon). All dogs must be on leads at all times. Owners are responsible for clearing up after their dog and also ensuring its health and well-being while at the event. There are no kennel facilities and if the weather is hot, it is unsuitable for a dog to remain in a car for periods of time. During our evening events Dogs, are not permitted. In the unlikely event of a heat wave or high temperatures, we may cancel the dog show for the safety of the animals.

What is your Drug Policy

Party in the Park is a drug free zone. No illegal drugs of any description will be allowed on the grounds. Anyone found with illegal drugs will be taken to the security marquee and the local authorities will be called. There is no exception to this rule.

The Beacon Festival recognises the increased use of “legal highs” at festivals. A legal high is defined as;

 A substance with stimulant or mood-altering properties whose sale or use is not banned by current legislation regarding the misuse of drugs. An example of this is mephedrone. The substance was created in a lab to mimic the effects of cocaine or ecstasy, but it had a slightly different chemical structure to both of these drugs so that it would not fall under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Subsequently, the government passed legislation so that mephedrone became a controlled substance, meaning it’s now illegal to possess, give away or sell.

Anyone found trying to achieve a legal high will be asked to leave. Anyone trying to supply a legal high to another person will be taken to the security marquee, and the authorities may be called.

 Party in the Park reserves the right to ask anyone consuming a legal high to leave the festival grounds immediately.

 Party in the Park reserves the right to “dip test” any liquids they feel may have an illegal substance in them.

Antisocial Behaviour Policy

Any antisocial behaviours such as fighting, racial or discriminatory comments, excessive alcohol consumption will not be tolerated.

Anyone displaying antisocial behaviour will be asked to leave the grounds. Refusal to do so may result in the authorities being called. No refunds will be given

What is your Alcohol Policy

A Challenge 25 policy will be implemented and adhered to, meaning that all members of staff at the premises shall seek credible photographic proof of age.  Such credible evidence will prove that the person is over the age of 18 and shall include a photograph of the customer and will either be a passport, photographic driving licence, or Proof of Age card carrying a “PASS” logo

Anyone buying alcohol for anyone without this proof will be asked to leave
